Even though NJ men are often thought of in the movies as tough guys who work for the mafia, act manly all the time and are simply over-the-top macho characters, the truth is that more New Jersey men are turning to their local plastic surgeon for some cosmetic help as they grow older.

Increasingly, New Jersey and New York plastic surgeons are at the forefront of innovative cosmetic surgery options and targeted marketing aimed a the non-traditional plastic surgery market of aging men. Most plastic surgeons are seeing an increase in male clients as the population gets older and more men see plastic surgery as a way to regain some of their youthful appearance and confidence.
How are these men finding New Jersey plastic surgeons? Many surgeons report that their former female clients are now the wives and girlfriends of the men who are appearing in their offices. A woman who was pleased with her plastic surgeon will surely tell other people, only it isn’t just the women friends who are listening. Men are consulting with NJ plastic surgeons and exploring the options of what cosmetic surgery can really do.
Plastic surgeons are not just sitting back and watching this trend idly. Many plastic surgeon websites now have entire sections dedicated to male cosmetic and plastic surgery options. It also helps that most plastic surgeons are male themselves. Men feel better talking about their shortcomings and physical discomfort with other men who are aging or will age as they will.
It’’s really no surprise that NJ men are starting to feel comfortable with the idea of going under the knife with an NJ plastic surgeon. New Jersey is home to many movie stars, celebrities and other beautiful people who are both famous and infamous. With its proximity to New York City, New Jersey has a culture of people trying to look their best all the time. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s been proven that improving your looks with plastic surgery can increase your salary and give you a confidence boost at your job and in your relationships. Many men see working with a plastic surgeon as an excellent way to appear younger and vibrant and stay active and relevant at their companies or work for additional years to come.
So the next time you see that older gentleman walking down the street talking tough on his cell phone with a New York accent remember that he really could be on the way to have his eyelids lifted or his belly flattened at the hands of a plastic surgeon.
